Tyson’s GLUTEN FREE cookies
If you're like me, you might find yourself more comfortable cooking savory dishes than baking sweet treats. Luckily, my boyfriend, Tyson, is a natural when it comes to creating delicious and healthy desserts. Over time, he's perfected a healthy cookie recipe that has become a staple in our household. Whether it’s an after-dinner treat or a morning snack with coffee, these cookies are a guilt-free delight. The best part? They’re gluten-free, free from refined sugars, and made with all-natural, organic ingredients.
Why You'll Love These Cookies
These cookies aren't just any dessert; they’re a healthy choice that you can enjoy without any of the guilt. Here's why:
Gluten-Free Baking: Perfect for those who need or prefer a gluten-free diet.
Healthy Ingredients: Made with almond flour, organic maple syrup, and grass-fed butter.
Customizable: Swap the chocolate chips for organic pecans, or use both!
Ingredients
Here’s what you’ll need to make about 6 delicious cookies:
2 cups organic almond flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 cup grass-fed butter
3 tbsp organic maple syrup
1 tsp organic vanilla
1/2 cup unsweetened chocolate chips (I use Lilly’s) and/or organic pecans, chopped
Flakey sea salt to finish
Instructions
Follow these simple steps to bake Tyson's Gluten Free Cookies:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C)
Melt the grass-fed butter in a small saucepan or microwave-safe container.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the almond flour, baking powder, melted butter, maple syrup, and vanilla. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated. Fold in the chocolate chips and/or chopped pecans.
Use a 1/4 cup measuring cup to portion the dough and place each portion on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. This should make around 6 cookies.
Press each dough ball with a spoon to your desired thickness. Keep in mind, thicker cookies will take a bit longer to bake.
Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges start to turn golden brown.
While the cookies are still warm, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top for an extra burst of flavor.
Enjoy and Customize
You now have a batch of delicious, healthy cookies ready to enjoy! These butter pecan cookies are absolutely amazing, but feel free to experiment. Maybe you prefer the classic taste of chocolate chips, or perhaps a mix of both chocolate and pecans.
